At British Toy Championship Show Gilda ~ Sherrygold Devil’s Blast at Valetta Owned by Valerie Dunn was palced 1st in both her classes Post Graduate Bitch and AOC Open Bitch. Sam ~ Sherrygold Devil’s Gift To Hotspur owned by Pat & Frank Groves was 2nd in his Postgraduate Class. Many thanks to the Judge Melva Nathan for thinking so highly of our dogs and Congratualtions to all concerned.
Sherrygold had double success at East of England Championship Show when Gilda ~ Sherrygold Devil’s Blast at Valetta owned by Val & Sue Dunn won Best Bitch & Best of Breed & Sam ~ Sherrygold Devil’s Gift to Hotspur owned by Pat & Frank Groves won Best Puppy in Breed and Reserve Best Dog under judge Miss K Evans.
Over the moon that Siggy our 15 month old boy gained his title and became Sherrygold’s 9th Champion yesterday and is now to be known Ir Ch Sherrygold Destiny’s Fire CW 15, CJW 15, Jun Ch (Subject to IKC approval). Cara & I would like to express our extra special thanks to the lovely ladies Barbara Henry & Sarah Blount for their expert handling and presentation of Siggy on our behalf in Ireland and also to Sally Burns for her fabulous trimming and presentation of him. Also grateful thanks to all the judges who have thought so highly of our boy.
An excellent Bank Holiday on the showing front for Sherrygold. In Ireland our new boy Siggy ~ Sherrygold Destiny’s Fire won Green Star Dog & BOB at both South Tipperary All Breed Ch Show yesterday & Fermoy All Breed International Ch Show today. At Eastern Counties Poodle Club Open Show in Cambridgeshire Sam ~ Sherrygold Devil’s Gift to Hotspur owned by Pat & Frank Groves won BPD, BPIB, RBD & RBPIS at his first ever show at only 6 months of age. Congratulations & many thanks to all concerned especially to Barbara Henry, Sarah Blount & Sally Burns for their excellent care of Siggy in Ireland for us.
‘ Well the Luck of The Irish’ was certainly with us when Cara & I spent a wonderful Easter weekend at Swords in Dublin watching our boys at the Combined Canine Shows. On the Saturday, Diesel ~ Ir Ch Sherrygold Prince of Harlem at Sharalo gained the ultimate title of International Champion and now becomes Sherrygold’s first International Champion. Huge congratulations to his owner Sarah Blount and thanks as always for a job well done! On Easter Sunday our new baby Siggy at only 12 months old flew round the ring showing his socks off winning his class and gaining the Reserve Green Star Dog against a much older Champion with Sarah handling (video below). Siggy – Sherrygold Destiny’s Fire makes his debut & wins Celtic Junior Winner 15 Title, Green Star Dog & Celtic Winners Title 15 & Diesel – Sherrygold Prince of Harlem at Sharalo wins Best of Breed and gains his Celtic Winners 15 Title at St Patricks Day Show in Ireland for the third consecutive year! Congratulations to Sarah Blount – Sharalo Poodles & Diesel and also a huge thank you to Sarah for all her hard work, Sally Burns for all her help and support and a special thanks to Barbara Henry for handling Siggy so beautifully. What a team. Needless to say we are delighted!!!
After a forced six month break due to wedding planning Sherrygold are now back in the room and looking forward to capaigning our lovely dogs throughout the rest of this year and beyond………oh and the wedding……….
Absolutely thrilled for a second year in a row to be able to announce that Diesel is the Top winning Miniature Poodle in Ireland. He is now titled An Ch 13,14, CW 13, Jun Ch. Many Congratulations Sarah Blount & Diesel & thank you for all your hard work in campaigning him so successfully for the last 2 years.
Irish Champion Sherrygold Prince of Harlem makes a clean sweep of the Irish Circut taking 4 Green Stars and 4 Best of Breeds and then to top it off takes Green Star and Best Of Breed at Bangor Championship Show yesterday. 5 Best of Breeds in 5 shows! Well done to his very happy owner Sarah & also to Diesel of course for showing his little socks off. He is really coming into his own now and we are very proud to have bred him.
